You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart. (Jeremiah 29:13)

Part of God’s personality is that He is jealous for us. This jealousy is part of His great love for us. This jealousy is not like human jealousy that is attached to hate and murder. His jealousy wants the best for us. God wants us totally for Himself and He will not share us with any other god, person or thing. God requires and desires a relationship with us that is full, total and set apart. He wants time with us to speak to us and us to Him.

There are many who say they desire to hear God but they feel as if God does not speak to them. God is always speaking to us. If we are not hearing then we have failed to understand how to listen. Hearing God’s voice does not mean we are waiting to hear an outward loud trumpet speaking to us out of the sky. God abides in us so how we hear Him many times is deep from our inner man which is our spirit. God also speaks to us through others with a prophetic voice. He speaks to us through His word. He speaks to us through our family and even through the love of our pets. He speaks to us through signs, wonders and happenings. He speaks to us through nature, rainbows and the cosmos. He is always speaking. The question is do we know how to hear Him?

When our heart reaches the point where its main goal is to seek after God is when His voice becomes more apparent and clear. When the things of the world, the fear of man and sin are expelled out of our life, hearing Him becomes easier and clearer. This is why God is jealous for us. All the things that block our hearing are the things that become barriers to growth in our relationship with the Father. He is jealous for us because He wants relationship with us beyond anything else. He sent His Son Jesus to die for that very reason, so that we can be in relationship with Him.

Seek God with your whole heart and you will find Him wholeheartedly.
