For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:11-13
When God has a call on your life, your life will not be easy. When all of heaven is cheering you on, all of hell is fighting against you. The hope we have is to hold on tight to the promises of God for our lives. During this journey called life we will come against many temptations, many fears, many enemies and many times we may fall and make mistakes.
Satan is an extremely intelligent being. He knows all of our weaknesses and he will pound and combat those weaknesses until he knows that we have matured in those areas. All of us at times have been used by the enemy to hurt others whether we acknowledge it or not. Satan used Peter to bring heartache to Jesus Himself, while Jesus loved Peter very much. The devil will use those closest to us and those who have access to the most intimate part of our lives so that our soul is vulnerable. Walking this walk of faith out usually comes with a level of loneliness because truly only God and we ourselves know the pain and suffering that we walk through.
One of the greatest assets we have is that gift of forgiveness from God. He knows we will mess up but it is our choice to either confess our failures to Him or continue on the road that leads to destruction. The road to destruction is sensual, tempting, attractive and alluring. If it wasn’t, we would not be pulled toward it. Thanks be to God who always causes us to triumph! Even when we fail He is there to give us a hand in getting back up.
God will always provide a way out of our situations even if we cause the situation ourselves. He is an amazing and forgiving God. There are times when He disciplines us and even in those times He disciplines out of love and to guide us onto the right path. I have experienced countless times in my life the hand of God on my life in both discipline and when not being disciplined and both times His love is overwhelming.
Don’t give up, no matter what. Don’t give into the lies of the enemy when he tells you you have gone too far from God. God’s hand is not short and He is mighty to save through and in all situations.
Trust Him and run to Him when your heart is broken
