The Terror By Night

You shall not be afraid of the terror by night. (Psalm 91:5)

When terror comes in the night, which it will, because God’s Word tells us that we shouldn’t be afraid of it, we need to take dominion over it. I believe a night time is coming over this nation and God is telling us not to fear the terror that comes with it because He is with us. We are the light and light shines darkest in the night. He will surround us with favor as with a shield. He will send His Angel to encamp round about us who fear Him. He will cover us with His feathers. We can hide in His pavilion. He is true and faithful.

The darkest trials and deepest saddest times are meant to develop our faith in Him, not to destroy us. I have faced homelessness, drug addiction, terminal disease, mental anguish, heart ache that is indescribable, and many, many other hardships. His Word has kept me which says,”many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord sees us out of them all.” Through those times of sorrows I have grown to trust Him even deeper, love Him even greater and become like Him all the more. We are the light in the darkness, so when terror makes a visit in our lives, do not be afraid of it, allow it to be used for what it what designed to do. Look what God says in Isaiah 54:16-17

See, it is I who created the blacksmith
    who fans the coals into flame
    and forges a weapon fit for its work.
And it is I who have created the destroyer to wreak havoc;
17     no weapon forged against you will prevail,
    and you will refute every tongue that accuses you.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
    and this is their vindication from me,”
declares the Lord.”

We clearly see here that even darkness and terror were created by God, but not to destroy us but rather to refine and polish us into the very image of Jesus.

Walk through your valley and learn the lesson that needs to be learned. Endure the hardship that you are facing, knowing that all the while it was designed to take you from the prison to the palace like it did Joseph.

Face your giant and confront him with great power and authority to destroy him to make you know that it is God in and through you, the Hope of glory, working out all things for your good while knowing not to be afraid of the terror by night!
