He that dwells in the secret place of the Most High, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.(Psalm91:1)
To dwell in God’s secret place is to live in His Word, to dwell in His safety by faith and to trust in His promises even when they seem to be far away. John 15:7 says, “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. When God’s Word abides or lives in us, we then have the life that it speaks of. The Bible says to study the Word to show ourself approved. When we get to know the Word, we get to know Jesus Himself for He is the living Word. The Word becomes our secret place with God and it causes us to abide or live under the shadow or protection and covering of the Almighty God. We can say of the Lord He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in Him will I trust.
The greatest relationships that I have seen people have with God, were built through sorrows and deep sufferings. I myself have been gifted with the blessing of hardship that bloomed into a relationship with the King that can not measure to anything else I’ve experienced before. It is in the darkness that the Light can be experienced the greatest. Our lives are living witnesses and testimonies to the love that abounds in sorrow, and heals in its own timing. Trust the Lord in your time of walking through pains. It is in your pain that you can know the full joy of healing.
The most important lesson to learn in this life as we grow in Him is to dwell in His secret place no matter what this life will bring to us. Jesus says in John 16:33,” I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
God is preparing us for the events that are to take place shortly. As Believers we never need to be afraid of anything. We need not fear the collapse of economies, war, famine, disease, sickness, poverty, loneliness, sorrow or any tribulation. He will take care of His own as we trust in His kindness.
Experience God in His secret place.
