that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days; and that you may dwell in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them. (Deuteronomy 30:20)
O, the blessings of returning to God! What a blessed assurance. There is no place for doubt with the God we serve! He is faithful and true, kind and generous. We need to be aware that because we are presented with such blessings and love that there is an enemy ready to steal it if we let him. How we let him is by living in sin and disobedience to God. We are not perfect while we are here on this earth but we are called to obedience. Obedience is not striving to be right with God, obedience is a lifestyle of surrender to God and in that surrender we find peace, protection and life!
Know this day that the Lord your God is in control of your days and He sees all that you encounter. Nothing is hidden from Him and what is done in secret will be brought to the light. He will reward openly what is done for Him in the hidden places.
You cry out today saying,”I can’t take no more”, when in reality you can do all things through Christ Jesus. One of the goals of Satan is to force you to give up and let go of the rope of hope. He wants you to give up on the promises of God. Satan is a liar! He is a thief! Had Abraham given up hope in God, he would have never received the promise of many nations. God was asking for His promised Son as a sacrifice, but Abraham trusted God knowing that God would come through and He came through at the last moment!. The test of your faith may be a last moment testing but God will come through! There is no great reward without great sacrifice!
Love Him and obey Him out of a pure heart and no matter what comes against you, cling to Him, for He is the rope of Hope!
