Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. (2Timothy 3:12)
The word godly is defined as God fearing, moral, holy and prayer filled. Notice the scripture says those who desire to live godly will suffer. The enemy will be on the attack as soon as he knows that your desire is to serve God. Satan wants to snuff us out before we even realize who we are in Christ. This is why we must persevere and fight on no matter what our feelings or experiences.
Be not discouraged when hard times hit because we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. God never said life would be a bowl of cherries but He did promise us victory. Be strong and of good courage, He will never leave you nor forsake you.
We can all look back at what we have gone through in life and see God’s goodness and mercy that has shined out of the darkness. If we never face suffering then how will we know what a victory is? If we never had a sickness to overcome then how would we know what healing is? If we never experienced death, then how would we experience being resurrected? God uses all the painful moments in life to mold and make us look more like Jesus.
God has a plan for your life, trust Him and don’t give up, you’re almost there. The greatest and most powerful times in your life are right around the corner! Keep your eyes on the finish line.
