We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. (Hebrews 6:19)

Hope is a feeling of expectation, a desire for a certain thing to happen. Our hope is in Jesus, the One who gave us salvation through His blood. One the most powerful strategies Satan uses against us is trying to get us to lose hope. When we lose hope, our sight then remains on what we see and feel in the here and now. If we place our focus on this life and this passing world, we lose the joy of eternity and we seek the things of the world to try and satisfy. Nothing in this life satisfies. Nothing in this world makes a soul content. Jesus is the One who satisfies the soul and saves a life that then has eternity with the Father.

The greatest gift we can possibly give to any person is the gift of Jesus Christ. Proverbs 11:30 tells us that,”he who wins souls is wise.” Eternal life was the original plan of God before sin entered the world, but God made eternal life with Him available once more through Jesus Christ His Son. Sharing Jesus with others is not only what we say, but what we do. We can win people over to Jesus through our deeds. 1 John 3:18 says,”let us not love in word or talk, but in deed and truth.” Actions truly speak louder than words.

With all that comes against us in this life, with all the heartache, sorrow, tears, grief, pain and suffering, we can still have a hope that will not waiver, never fail and remain strong through it all. Our hope is in Jesus and He never fails no matter what things look like. So when the enemy tries to rob you of your hope, just dig the anchor of your hope ever so deeper and stand strong!
