Spirit, Soul, Body

Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Thessalonians 5:23)

The body of Christ needs to know the truth about who we are. Man is a spirit, he has a soul, and he lives in a body. Our spirit is sealed by the Holy Spirit when we receive Jesus. Our soul which is our mind, our will and our emotions are a work in progress. This is the area that is influenced by the enemy. This is where deliverance comes in. The demonic realm can influence our minds, wills and emotions if we let them. They find an open door through sin, a crack in our armor and take that opportunity to enter and take residence. That has no determining factor on our salvation. If you follow Jesus and live for Him, you are saved but you may still need deliverance. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God for the pulling down of strongholds. Why would God give us power to pull down demonic strongholds if they weren’t there?

Part of the adorning of the Bride of Christ is the cleansing of our souls of demonic influence. As our souls prosper, then our bodies prosper. Many people are looking for healing in their body when what they need first is deliverance in their souls. God does everything decently and in order. Freedom was purchased for us on Calvary, but in order to walk in that freedom we must act on what Jesus has already done for us. Generational curses can be broken and our mind can be set free through the finished work of the cross. Jesus became a curse for us, but if we continue doing the things that caused our bondage, then we will remain trapped.

Jesus accomplished it all for us to be totally free and His desire is for all His children to walk in that freedom. Everything has been done for us, now it is up to us to act on it. Firts believe then receive all that God has for you today! God wants you whole, spirit, soul and body.
