Sacrifice For Our Sins

For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there  no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgement, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. (Hebrews 10:26,27)

There is a change that takes place when we meet Jesus. Something happens in our lives that demonstrates who we were before we encountered Jesus and who we are now. Once we know Him and are known by Him, we still have to deal with temptation concerning our past lifestyles, however now we have His Spirit living in us to fight the temptation. This does not mean that we never sin, what it means is that when we do sin, we repent and get back up again. Willfully sinning, is staying in a course of sin and not making an effort to turn your back on that sin. Willful sin is making an agreement with that sin. There is a great difference between willful sin and sin that we fight and struggle with. The struggle proves that deep inside you do not want that sin in your life. Your fight against sin shows your heart and your knowledge of the truth.

I can not emphasize enough the importance of getting rid of sin in these times we are in. God wants to use His people and if there is sin in our lives that is not repented from, then the devil has the legal right to keep us in bondage.

Seek Him while He may be found. He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. God is so good and so compassionate and He loves us so much. Shut the door of sin in the devils face. The price that Jesus paid for our sins to be forgiven was the ultimate sacrifice. That sacrifice brings us salvation, eternal life and great peace. When we walk in obedience to God we inherit the promises that God has for us. This is not achieved by works, it is received by grace and the evidence of walking in God’s grace is obedience out of love, not duty.

1 John 1:7 says it clearly,”but if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.” Walking in the light or staying away from sin keeps us on the avenue of cleansing. There is no darkness in God at all, so as Believers we need to stay away from all darkness. We are to be a light in a dark world while not living in sin.

God is doing deep inner healings and bringing His people into a more intimate walk with His Spirit. The days that we are facing seem to be darker and darker and it is in that darkness that light shines the brightest!
