Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. (Col.3:2,3)
Remember to think on these things, whatever is lovely, noble, true and of a good report. Remember that those whose mind is stayed upon Jesus, He will keep in perfect peace. Remember to cast all your cares upon Him for He cares for you. Remember if God is for us, then who can be against us? Remember all of God’s benefits. Remember it is He who gives us breathe to breath. Remember it is God who causes us to triumph. Remember it is Christ in us, the hope of Glory. Remember it is no longer I that live, but Christ in me. Remember to set your mind on things above, not on the earth. Remember you died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. Remember the Word says that God is our hiding place.
When we keep in memory what God’s word tells us to, our mind is renewed. The renewing of my mind has been the greatest miracle, after salvation, that God has done. My mind was wicked and perverse. My thoughts were shameful and lustful, but now I am amazed at how clean and pure it has become. I could not accomplish this. It is through Jesus and Him only that I can now dominate my thought life through the power that is within me. No matter how far you think you have gone, or how damaged sin has left you, remember that we serve a God that specializes in impossible cases for His glory.
One of the most damaging things the Israelites did was to forget what God had done for them. When we forget all the times God has brought us through, we lose faith for then next battle. When we forget all His benefits, we open the door to doubt and depression. Always rehearse the great and mighty deeds of the Lord in your life and live in the realm of thankfulness. Being thankful makes us whole. When Jesus healed the lepers in the Bible only one came back to thank Him. That one, the word says, was made whole. His fingers grew back! They were all healed, but being thankful caused the one to be made whole. Today as you read this, speak out the wonderful things God has done for you and thank Him and just watch and see how your spirit man will be renewed by faith!
