But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.(Isa.40:31)
Waiting on God is serving Him. Our strength is renewed as we serve our King. God is building character in our lives through the difficulties that we are facing. This is where we shall mount up with wings as eagles. God causes us to fly above our problems and difficulties as we trust Him through our trials. When we are sitting in an airplane thousands of feet above the ground, that huge city that you just took off from seems so small looking down. It is the same with our tribulations and hardships in life. When we mount up with wings as eagles, everything that was so huge to us suddenly becomes microscopic in comparison to the power that God clothes us with. We start to run and we are no longer weary and as we walk out our lives we will not faint because Jesus is our focus, and no longer our problems. Jesus would have never told us to take up our cross and follow Him if He knew we would be alone. We are never alone, Jesus will never leave us nor forsake us, so in essence it is Jesus through us that takes our heavy burdens. God is good and He is good all the time. Allow the Lord to take away your burdens today as you cast all your cares upon Him for He cares for you so deeply.
God wants to bring us to a point where we stop looking to get out of difficulties in order to be happy. He wants us to be filled with joy and happiness during and in our trials by walking in His presence. The greatest light to the world is not what we say, but rather what we do. When the world sees Jesus in us through our difficulties, it draws them to the Light. Don’t tell people about Jesus only, be Jesus to them and demonstrate the power of His transforming love.
In your hardships, He will cause you to mount up with wings!
