Oh our God, will You not judge them? For we have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You. (2 Chron.20:12)
In our walk with the Lord great multitudes will come against us. Many times it’s disease or financial problems or family situations or relentless attacks from the enemy. In these times we may have done all that we can and still we see no change and we just don’t know what to do. A word of encouragement for you today. Keep your eyes on God, He never fails! I’m sure the Israelites where in deep despair when they were faced with the Red Sea in front of them and their enemies chasing them from behind. I’m sure when Daniel was thrown in the lions den that doubt tried to take over his mind. I’m sure that when Joseph was tossed into the pit and then prison, that he fought thoughts of fear, rejection and defeat. I’m sure that when Paul and Silas were left to die in a wet and rat infested jail cell that the devil tried to discourage them. I’m sure that when Esther threw herself at the mercy of the king, that thoughts of terror were dancing over her mind. I’m sure that when the nails were being hammered into Jesus’ hands and feet that every evil spirit possible was attacking and assaulting His entire being. We could be sure of all these facts, but we can also be sure of these truths. The Israelites reached the other side of the Sea because of the hand of God, and their enemies were destroyed! An angel showed up to shut the lions mouths for Daniel and he was written down in history for his dependence on God! Joseph became second in command of the enemy’s camp and he saved the seed that would bring forth our Savior! Paul and Silas were visited by heavenly hosts and set free and they will be remembered for all time! Esther was shown favor by God and she was crowned and relished as one who would fight for the family tree of the King of all kings! Most of all through Jesus’ torment, pain and torture, He was the One who purchased our redemption, set us free from the power of Satan, bought those who believe and follow Him, the ticket to eternity with our Father and allowed us to be adopted into the family of God and took away our sins, transgressions, trespasses and iniquities!
Now, instead of paying attention to your trial you are walking through, do as all above did and look to the God who will walk through with you and cause you to triumph! When you don’t know what to do, look to Him and Him only!
