Praise the Lord! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God. His judgements are true and just. He has punished the great prostitute who corrupted the earth with her immorality. He has avenged the murder of His servants. (Revelation 19:1,2)
How much longer can babies continually be murdered from their mother’s womb without judgement? How much longer can the assault on marriage between a man and a woman continue without God’s hand getting involved? How much longer will Israel be threatened with annihilation ? Will not God intervene? Will not God avenge? Does God overlook the shedding of innocent blood? Can a country founded on Godly principles turn her back on their Creator without a dear price to pay? Very true that God is on the mercy seat, but He is not on that seat forever. What is being done against God now is being stacked up for judgement day unless repentance takes place. What is done in secret will be brought to the light. Sin finds us out. There is a balance to God. A perfect balance that is merciful and kind but also a God who disciplines and chastises. It is an awesome and a terrible thing to fall into the hands of God.
One of the end time out pourings will be a reign of repentance. Repentance is brought about by two measures. It is either Godly sorrow or His goodness. Let us as His people humble ourselves before His throne and revere the living and only God for who He is. He is the great King over all the earth and He will avenge. We are called to love, but to love in truth, not compromise. It is better to be alone and stand for truth than be accepted by all and be on the side of false teachings. For you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free. In order to be set free by the truth, we must first know what the truth is.
Throughout God’s word there were cycles of righteousness which brought prosperity and iniquity which brought judgment. God always warned before judgment came and warned with more than enough time to repent. He is slow to anger and that is why there has been such a long stretch of mercy handed to western civilization so that there would be opportunity for repentance. We hear whispers and shouts of our economy crashing like never before. That would be a judgment that would start a snowball process of chaos throughout the west. The hope in this for those who know Jesus is in 2 Chronicles 7:14,”if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
That is a promise from God but there is an “if” involved. The church needs to humble themselves and repent before any hope could be brought to the nations! It is up to the church to rise and take her place so that God’s hand would move in great mercy! Pray that a spirit of repentance would saturate the church and usher in great and mighty things from God that we know not of.
