That in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. (Ephesians 2:7)
The Lord wants to encourage you today. He wants to remind you that this present moment on this earth is just that, a moment. The time we have here is so short in comparison to what is prepared for those that love God. It is so easy to get caught up in this life filled with work, raising families, building businesses and ministries, running here and there. There are also health issues and sickness, quarrels in families and church family issues and the enemy loves to bring heartache and pain to us as well. There are generational curses that we are born into, there are divorces and their consequences and poverty and hunger and war just to mention a few. Yet through all this, Jesus is saying,”be of good courage for I have overcome the world!”
What I have learned is that the blessings that I have walked into throughout my life were always dressed up in trials. Blessings are cloaked in sorrow. In order to be embraced by the blessing, we have to walk through the tribulation.
The reward we have for being steady in trusting God is peace, joy and eternal life. The eternal life that we have is not yet fully understood. There is so much more than just thinking,”I’m going to Heaven.” We will not be floating on clouds nor do we become rewarded with wings. Angels will always be angels and people will always be people. We will be perfected after this life for those who know Jesus. We will be ruling and reigning with Him for eternity and His Kingdom will have no end. There will be riches and things that no eye has seen nor ear has heard about. There will be no disease or sickness. There will be no death, pain or suffering and no demonic spirits. There will be no more tears for God Himself will wipe away our tears. There is nothing to fear or worry about when it comes to leaving this earth for a Believer. This is why it is so important to share the good news of Jesus to others so that none would perish. God’s heart is for everyone. He loves everyone and desires that all would be saved.
This day, place your hope in the One who was and is and is to come. When your mind starts to focus on your present situation, force your thoughts to be placed upon what God has in store for you. Weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning! Your night season is about to be over and your morning is arising! Take hope, take courage and receive the peace of Christ which guards our hearts and minds. Remember that when thoughts of doubt or sorrow come to you, rejoice and know that you have treasures to come! There is hope for your future!
