His Anointed

Jesus Christ Now I know that the Lord saves His anointed. (Psalm 20:6)

Many times in life we wonder why God didn’t stop something from happening or why a person didn’t accomplish what they thought they needed to for God. The question needs to be asked, were they anointed for that task? When David was anointed as king of Israel, he was empowered by God for that task. When you venture out in a ministry or work, make sure that it is God who is calling you to do that. It is He that gives power to the weak and to those who have no might, He increases strength.

Let us look at the definition of an anointing

  1. bless somebody with oil: to rub oil or ointment on a part of somebody’s body, usually the head or feet, as part of a religious ceremony, e.g. in a Christian baptism
  2. ordain somebody: to install somebody officially or ceremonially in a position or office

When we are anointed of God, we are blessed to do the task that is asked of us. The Holy Spirit’s power is placed upon us like oil to accomplish, make happen and succeed in doing all that God placed in us to do. We become installed in a position or office where God would have us. He makes a way where there seems no way.

Make sure where you are in life is where God wants you. We have a free will and God will never force His will on us. To force a will on a person that isn’t his own is a form of witchcraft. God is loving and kind and He saves His anointed. Where God has you, you will prosper. That doesn’t mean we won’t face opposition in our position but we can have the assurance that we are under the umbrella of God’s protection if we are where He wants us to be.

As you read this today, the Lord knows you are facing doubts about where you are in life and what you are doing. You are exactly where God wants you and He wants you to know how important you are to Him and how important your placing is in His plan. Be at peace and be assured that where you are is where you are supposed to be. Shortly, you will be visited with great strength, great abundance and great assurance!

Know that the Lord saves His anointed!
