He Preserves Me

The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul.(Psalm 121:7)

It’s all about furthering God’s kingdom. We are preserved from evil to further His kingdom and to share of God’s great mercy and love. His wonderful grace and healing power has been shown to us because He cares. When God has done something in your life, it is of great value to share with others to demonstrate God’s love. These signs shall follow them that believe, they shall cast out demons, raise the dead and they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover. These signs are faith boosters and witnesses to all who hear and see that God’s not dead!

The Lord preserves our souls. When something is preserved it is kept in good condition, it is kept from harm and prevented from decay. Many times preservation takes place under harsh circumstances. In the case of food, intense heat may be applied to bring about proper preservation. There are times that God does the same for us. He may allow difficult circumstances to come our way knowing that those difficulties are actually preserving us. He preserves us during our times of struggle and darkness. In this life we were never promised sunshine, roses and bliss. To the contrary, we were told in John 16:33,”I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” Jesus has overcome, defeated and conquered the world! In that we rejoice knowing that our future is secure and our present time is being walked out with Jesus Himself by our side.

Do not lose heart my friends. Be secure in knowing that the Lord your God will preserve and keep you from all evil. Our part in this is to keep the door closed to Satan by staying away from sin and dwelling in the secret place of the Most High. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Be wise and live in His security!
