He Increases Strength

He gives power to the faint, and to them that have no might He increases strength. (Isaiah 40:29)

It is not a bad place to be in when you find that your power and might are gone. We can clearly see that through this walk of faith we are part of, that God is our refuge and our strength and apart from Him we can do nothing.

When you are faint, God steps in. When your might ends, it is He who increases strength. The most beautiful fragrance comes from the bruising and crushing of a rose. Some would see the rose apart from this fate as better off. God sees differently. Jesus is the Rose of Sharon. It pleased God because of the fragrance of Jesus’ sacrifice of His life to obtain such a multitude of brethren for Himself. A family for God with Him as our Father. Without sacrifice there is no gain. If you feel as a crushed rose, remember the fragrance you bring to the Father is precious!.  Keep that scripture in mind,”for the joy set before Him, He endured the cross.” Take up your cross and follow Jesus.

One of the tactics of the enemy is to get our mind so focused on the here and now that all we see is our issues and pain. The rewards we have in heaven are so great, so enormous. No eye has seen nor ear has heard nor has entered in the heart of man the things that God has prepared for those that love Him. We all have so much to be joyful about even in the midst of our tribulation. Be at peace in your trial and embrace the Prince of Peace who is by your side and surrounds you with His love and mercy.

The strength that God gives is equated to His grace. 2 Corinthians 12:9 tells us,”My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” This scripture lets us know that God’s grace is His power! Hold onto His grace and you will be empowered to make it through all the storms that come your way. Anchor yourself to Jesus as the winds and waves pass you by.

It is He who increases strength!
