I have hope in God, which they themselves also accept, that there will be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and the unjust. (Acts 24:15)
When we consider what is ahead of us, it makes the here and now all the worth while. “But for the joy set before Him, He endured the cross.” Jesus endured His torture because He had His eye on the prize! Every time life tries to get you down or the enemy tries to discourage you, encourage yourself in the Lord and reestablish the promises of God in your life. It is so blissful to know that we will be resurrected and see our loved ones again and spend eternity with Jesus!
As you engage in spiritual warfare, the enemy will become tired of dealing with you if you fight him with God’s word. He will leave you alone eventually as he sees your steadfastness in the Lord.
Know this day that you have an eternal home with God if you know Jesus and follow Him. Those who don’t know Jesus will also be resurrected, but sadly to be condemned for rejecting Him. We have a choice in the matter and our eternity is our choice. Choose you this day life and look forward to the resurrection of the just.
The Lord is wanting to fill you with His peace this day in knowing that you are His and His alone. How we know we are His are by the love that we show God, each other and by obeying God. When we obey God we are demonstrating love towards Him by honoring His word. His love toward us is like none other so let that love keep you in joy and give you strength in great measure!
While we walk out this journey, there will be many scars that we receive through battles and warfare. All a scar is, is a reminder that you won a battle. More scars, more victories! When you see scars in your life, remind yourself of how strong you are in Christ Jesus. You are more than an overcomer! In heaven, scars are seen as veins in gold that honor the King!
Keep your eyes on Jesus and don’t lose sight of Him for He is our great reward!
