God has not given us a spirit of fear. He has given us a spirit of power, of love and of a sound mind. God is on our side. (2Tim.1:7, Rom. 8:31)

The spirit of fear involves torment. The power that removes fear is love that is matured. God word tells us that perfect or mature love, casts out all fear. When we arrive at the point in our life where love is matured in us, the spirit of fear will find no home in us. When we realize and walk in how much God loves us, our fears of others opinions of ourselves just go away. It is truly amazing how much power love has. Love was the power force that gave Jesus the strength to endure the cross. He saw the joy set before Him and He did it out of matured love in His heart for the Father and for us. When we walk in true, mature love, we walk in God for God is love. 

We are all on this path of walking and remaining in mature love. Do not be discouraged if you feel that you are not loving like God wants you to. Remember this love is attained through Him, not through us. His Spirit in us gives us the ability to love the unlovely. Our part is asking Him to pour His love out in our hearts to spread to others. Asking for His love is asking according to His will and He will not deny that request.

Today and always, Trust in the Lord with all of your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path. The very fear that you have overcome through Jesus Christ, will try to come back to see if it can find a place to live in you once again, but God’s word tells us to submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee. Do not be discouraged and be of good cheer, we have overcome by His blood.

This day the Lord says to you,” Fear not for I am with you!”
