Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend into heaven, You are there; if I make my bed in hell behold You are there.(Ps.139:7,8)
So many times we thought that we had gone so far from God that He was so far from us. So many believe they have defiled themselves so greatly that His Spirit could never want them or bare to look at them. Many believe they are too far gone, too lost for God to draw nigh unto them. That is a lie from the devil! The psalmist writes that if I make my bed in hell, You are there Oh God. In other words, if I sin so great, if I did such unthinkable things that would send me to hell, still Your presence is there!
After years of sinning, I, “in my mind” was not being thought of by God. Sin makes us feel separated from God, but God sees the heart and knows they that are destined for Him! God saw my heart and that I truly desired to be freed to serve God. I was bound by Satan, but Jesus set me free.
No matter where you are today, Jesus is there for you to call upon. The Word of God says that those who call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. He is not far from you, He will never leave you nor forsake you. Don’t buy the devil’s lies anymore. Even if you are in a hell right now, God will set you free! Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
The very chains that hold you back are the very tools God will use to train you in your time of foundation building. It was in the prison that Joseph was being trained to co rule Egypt. It was on the cross that Jesus was being prepared to rule and reign on a heavenly throne. So it is in your darkest night that God is readying you to sit on a throne with Him to be used mightily for His glory. Endure your time of preparation and you will reap a harvest so great, words can not tell!
Hebrews 12:1 says,“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us”. If you are caught up in a sin, just decide to turn your back on that sin and receive God’s grace. Grace does not give us permission to remain in sin, it gives us power to overcome it. Fight the good fight knowing that you are never alone and wherever you go, God’s presence is present whether you feel Him or not. No one can out run God!
