Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life. (1Timothy 6:12)
We can all look back and remember all the wonderful miracles that God has done in our lives, and in that we must also remember that we are a work in progress, we are masterpieces being sculpted day by day into the image of God’s Son. We are precious in His sight, after all, He gave His all for us. Could there be a greater love? No! He did it all.
On this road of life, we must lay hold of eternity and see the bigger picture. We are part of a master plan and as you commit your ways to the Lord, He will cause your plans to be established and succeed. When God gave the Israelites the promised land, there were still giants that occupied that territory that they needed to destroy. It is the same with us today. God has given us the land but there are still giants that need to be overcome that dwell in it. Lets look at Judges 3:1&2,”Now these are the nations which the Lord left to prove Israel by them, that is, all in Israel who had not previously experienced war in Canaan; It was only that the generations of the Israelites might know and be taught war, at least those who previously knew nothing of it.“
Many times we are left to fight our spiritual enemies or giants in order to teach us warfare which means God knows that we have the power in Christ Jesus to succeed. He would never throw us into something that would destroy us. What we see as a defeat, is designed to make us stronger. You’re struggle is a sign that you are fighting on! The battle that you view as something that will destroy you, is actually an indication that you will be delivered. If the enemy could have taken you out, he would have done it by now! Your battle proves that you are going to overcome your struggle!
Whatever giant you are facing right now, whether it be a sickness or a trial or any obstacle, know that your God is greater and He tells you to trust in Him and war against the enemy. Your situation, however big, will bow before God. Every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.
Fight the good fight of faith, don’t give up!
