Therefore I will look unto the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me. (Micah 7:7)
Life is never what we would imagine or dream for it to be. Our life on this earth is rarely filled with a constant string of perfect things happening to us. Jesus told us that in this life we would have troubles. The question is, what do we do when life is difficult? What do we do when we feel sorrow and pain? How do we deal with suffering and heart ache? The answer is, we look to the Lord. We trust His word. We receive His peace in the storm. We walk by faith and not sight. We call upon the Lord in our distress. In 2 Corinthians 4:8, Paul tells us this,” we are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down , but not destroyed. In Psalm 120:1 David is in deep despair and he says,” I took my troubles to the Lord and He answered me, He heard my prayer.”
Endless times we see the righteous of the Lord in deep sorrow and pain. What they all did was depend and press into God when all seemed lost. The answer for all our problems, all our pains, all our sorrow is Jesus. I have experienced first hand God’s deliverance, His mercy, His kindness, His favor, His beauty, His chastening, His longsuffering. He is incomparable. He is all powerful. He is always listening and waiting for us to call upon Him in our day of trouble. Whatever is opposing you is nothing for God to take care of. He truly cares for you like none other. Call upon Him.
In your time of warfare against the enemy of your soul, blow the trumpet in Zion and sound the alarm on God’s holy mountain. Declare war on your situation and watch the salvation of the Lord bring you through your battle!
