Be Strong!

O man greatly beloved, fear not! Peace be to you; be strong, yes, be strong! So when he spoke to me I was strengthened, and said, “Let my lord speak, for you have strengthened me.” (Dan. 10:19)

The angel that came to speak to Daniel was helped by the archangel Michael to overcome the Prince of Persia, an evil principality. Daniel was praying and his prayers were heard by God but the answer was hindered from getting to Daniel because it was being stopped by spiritual wickedness in heavenly places. There was war taking place in the heavenlies.

Most of us are waiting on God for answers to some very important issues in our lives. I believe the Lord is saying that answers have been sent but those very answers are caught up in the line of fire. The answers have been held back by forces of wickedness in the heavenlies. How we can aid in the release of those answers is through fasting, prayer and faithfulness to God.

God gives us what we need, when we need it. Be strong saints. We battle onward, but remember we are not alone and He always causes us to triumph. Many, many times when it seems as if we can’t go on another day, is when the victory is the closest. Be encouraged and fight the good fight of faith. God even uses the waiting period that we endure until we receive our answers. Look what Romans 5:3-4 says,”Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance;  perseverance, character; and character, hope.

Warring spiritually is like weight training. The heavier the resistance, the greater the strength developed. As we enter into darker times, we will have the opportunity to grow spiritual muscles never before imagined. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not depend on your own understanding. He will see you through and you will come out stronger than ever as you pull from His strength. In our weakness, He is made strong. So be strong in the Lord!
