Now in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. (Mark 11:20)
When Jesus cursed the fig tree, it did not die immediately, but something started happening the moment He cursed it at the root. When we come against sickness or disease or problems in our lives, many times we don’t see results because the roots of those things are never destroyed. Our prayers and declarations must be aimed and targeted or else it is like firing a powerful weapon at our enemy with no precision. It is the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man that avails much. Our prayers must be precise. When we come against disease, we must curse the root system of disease. The fruit of the root will wither and die when the root system is dealt with.
Remember that the power of life and death are in the tongue. Once you curse the root system of your situation, you must have patience until you see the results. The fig tree did not at once die, it was later on in the morning that they passed and saw the roots dead. Have patience and wait on God and the labor of your travail will come to pass. God does everything decently and in order.
Decree a thing and it will be established. Speak to your mountain and trust in the Lord. Target your prayers, have patience and curse your fig tree at the root!
