Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, old things have passed away, behold all things have become new. (2 Cor. 5:17)

What an awesome gift to be in Christ Jesus. We are new creations, whole new species of beings. Our past, all our sins and regrets are passed away never to be remembered by God our Father. It doesn’t stop there. Everything for His children has become new! New life, new beginnings and a new and eternal family. We are truly blessed beyond comprehension with all Jesus has done for us. 

This coming year is a chance for us to grow more than ever before. It is an opportunity to sow greater into the kingdom of God, help others and be a light in this lost and dying world. There are many giants that need to be dealt with. As we endure spiritual warfare and defeat empires of darkness, we are advancing Jesus’ rule in the world and ushering in His soon return. 

Let us not forget where we have come from and all that God has done for us. One of the greatest problems the Israelites had was forgetting what the Lord had done for them and where He took them from. Every time they advanced, they forgot God and all He did for them. Don’t forget when He healed you, delivered you and set you free! Remembering all that God has done makes room for thankfulness and God loves a thankful heart. When we demonstrate a thankful heart, we receive the greatest blessings, and the greater the blessings the more we are able to bless others.

What a wonderful gift to be made new and clean. Let us enter this holiday season knowing that we are forgiven, loved, cleansed and empowered because of what Jesus has done for us. All things have become new!
