Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. (James 1:12)

Ever get tired of the trials and temptations that we all have in this life? Do you ever say to yourself enough is enough? Well today I want to share with you what God has for those who endure and overcome.

We can count it all joy when we are tempted by Satan, because when we endure the temptation, we are given crowns by God for eternity. In order for us to overcome anything in life, we must go through that very hardship to rule over it. I have authority over my mind through Jesus because I battled the devil who previously tormented my thoughts. I overcame therefore I now have authority. I have authority over my sexuality because I was perverse before and God’s word redeemed me and set me free, therefore I have authority over sexual temptation and over many other trials in my life.

Not only does God give us the victory, but He also gives us crowns of life every time we overcome temptation and these crowns are stored up for us. James 1:12 tells us,“Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.”

The very things that you overcome are the very things that you will be able to help others overcome. What we conquer, we rule over through the authority that comes from our King.

When Satan tempts you, which he will, just say no thanks, I’ll take a crown instead!
