Encourage one another and build one another up as you are doing. (1 Thessalonians 5:11)

It is of the utmost importance to encourage one another.

David in the Bible encouraged himself in the Lord as we all should, but there should be a time of refreshing with one another to be affirmed and loved , especially in these times of hardship and spiritual warfare. When we forsake the assembling of the brethren or in other words, stop meeting together for fellowship, we cheat ourselves of the strength that we gain through unity. Behold how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity.

God ordained His church to be a family, and we have a common blood line, the Blood of Jesus. Within this family division can happen when we fail to communicate with one another. When communication and dialogue ceases to exist with one another our mind creates scenarios that may not even be. When these scenarios are believed as truth, a separation takes place between brothers and sisters. This separation causes bitterness and even hatred. Just like this happens in our natural families, it also takes place with our spiritual families. In order to overcome this we need to go back to God’s word to find where our part of fault is to make it right. God’s word says that we know each other by the love we show one another. When we are at odds with one another we are at odds with God Himself. This is why it is so important to make peace with one another before we bring our gifts to the Lord. (Matthew 5:23)

Encourage one another today and in the days to come, send an e-mail, write a note, make a phone call, give a hug, go out of your way to let the people who God has used to touch you, know that. 1 John 3:18 says,”Dear children, let us not love with words or speech only but with actions and in truth.”

We are all together in ushering in what God wants to do in this time, and the devil is working overtime to discourage. Fight him and counter the attack by loving each other as Jesus loves us. Encourage one another!
