He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.(Psalm 147:3)
Today as you read this, Jesus wants to heal many deep wounds that have been festering for years. When physical wounds carry on they become infected and it is the same with emotional wounds. If our emotional wounds are not brought to Jesus for healing, they over time become infected which attracts all sorts of darkness such as anger, hopelessness, worthlessness, bondage, addictions, fears, insecurity and self hatred. The healing and deliverance from all of these starts when we begin to accept and know that we have been adopted into God’s own family.
When we were adopted into God’s family, we legally received the power of our Father’s name, we inherit His wealth and we were instantly loved by God in the same exact way that He loves His own Son Jesus. That is so much to be grateful and thankful for. When we truly realize who we are in Christ, we can rejoice and understand that we now have the spirit of adoption by which we can cry out “Abba, Father.” God is our Daddy! We can leave behind the spirit of bondage that once had us in slavery to sin and shift into the Light of God’s kingdom and loving family!
Many times in our lives, in order to be healed, the old bandage needs to be torn off the wound for the healing to commence. When you tear a bandage off of an already sensitive wound, it hurts. That pain will only lead to a permanent healing in which God applies His love and tender mercy to, and that makes a person whole. Allow God to do healing on your wounded and torn soul and He will truly make something beautiful of your sorrow. Every person is different and healing might take longer in some than in others. Healing is a process. Allow God to begin the healing process in your life by first turning all over to Him.
Be encouraged today knowing that He heals the broken hearted and the wounded!
