For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come. (1 Timothy 4:8)
When you’re spirit is right with God, then your mind, will and emotions can be dealt with and healed. When that takes place, your body follows. If you need healing in your body, most times it’s because there is some healing needed first in your soul. God wants us whole; spirit, soul and body. It is great to exercise the body but we must nourish and exercise our spirit through God’s word.
Spiritual warfare builds the spirit man as exercise builds the natural man. It is God’s will that we have a strong, muscular spirit. Many times we wonder why we still have to deal with major issues after we are saved. The answer is to build a muscular, fighting spirit in us. In Judges 3:1&2 it says, “these are the nations that the Lord left in the land to test those Israelites who had not experienced the wars of Canaan. He did this to teach warfare to generations of Israelites who had no experience in battle.” There are times when God allows us to fight the demonic realm with situations in our lives to learn warfare.
When you face difficult situations, look up and praise God and know that through the hardships, understanding is being learned. All things work together for the good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.
There are many today that are reading this right now that are at their wits end. You feel as if you just can’t go on any longer, as if you are all alone. Well you are not! So many people have given up right before their break through. The enemy would love for you to quit so that you do not see your victory. The life we live as Believer’s is not easy, but it is full of opportunities to draw closer to our King. Do not be discouraged through your time of having your spirit man be made muscular! Fight on and know that Jesus is with you through this storm. You are not alone!
