His Timing, Not Ours

And Peter said to him,”Aeneas, Jesus the Christ heals you. Arise and make your bed.” Then he arose immediately. So all who dwelt in Lydda and Sharon saw him and turned to the Lord. (Acts 9:34,35)

This man healed was bed ridden for eight years and he was a saint. Why did God wait eight years to heal him? Why do so many who believe for their healing or deliverance wait for years when some are healed and delivered in an instant? There are many reasons. Some may still have unresolved sin in there life that is blocking the answer from manifesting while some may be ordained by God for the proper time.

God uses healing and deliverance as a witness to others to win the lost. In Aeneas’ case, Jesus healed him at the right time to win many who were lost. God doesn’t cause sickness or troubles but He does use them. John 11:4 gives us another example of God using sickness when it says,”When he heard this, Jesus said, “This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God’s glory so that God’s Son may be glorified through it.”

He will give you the strength to bear what you need to bear until the appointed time.

God is good and we have so much to look forward to. Trust Him. Whatever the situation in your life, know that it is His timing, not ours. Timing is so important. If we insist on taking what God has for us to early, it will wind up premature and sickly. If we wait too long to do what God has called us to do, then we forfeit what God has ordained for us to walk in. When we obey God at the right time, we enjoy the peace and abundance of His blessing. Do not miss out on your blessing by being too late or too early. It is His timing, not ours!
