“Go back and tell Hezekiah, the ruler of my people, ‘This is what the Lord, the God of your father David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will heal you. On the third day from now you will go up to the temple of the Lord. 2 Kings 20:5
Have you been waiting on the Lord for a healing? Have you been praying to God the Father for His healing touch to make you whole? The wonderful thing to know is that God’s will for us is to be healed. God doesn’t take pleasure in His children being diseased and in pain. Lamentations 3:33 says,”For He does not enjoy hurting people or causing them sorrow.”
Many times we need to redirect our anger and stop blaming God when terrible things happen in our lives. I myself have been through some pretty bad things in life but that doesn’t mean that God was the cause of those happenings. We need to be reminded that we live in a fallen world and that we have many enemies while we walk our life out. Some of our enemies are sin, our own poor choices, the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh, the pride of life, demons, principalities, powers, spiritual wickedness, generational curses, Satan, the death process and so many more that are mentioned in God’s word. The main thing we need to always remember is that God is for us and if He is for us than who (or what) can be against us? That scripture doesn’t mean that we will not face adversaries, what it means is that those adversaries sooner or later will have to bow their knee to Jesus.
Sickness and disease is an adversary that Jesus has won victory over and with Him winning that victory, we must war to enforce it. Many things that Jesus has done on the Cross need to be enforced by God’s people. That is what spiritual warfare is, enforcing the victory that Jesus has already won. After World War 2 and up until today, American troops remain in Germany and Europe because we are enforcing the victory that we already won decades ago. Keeping the winnings takes enforcing. Part of that enforcing includes prayer and faith in God for our healing no matter what things look like.
So what is our part beside spiritual warfare concerning healing? The answer to that is common sense. If you are dealing with diabetes, the common sense thing to do is to limit sugar intake, watch your diet and if necessary take your medications. As with all other diseases, there are changes we need to make to show we are invested in our own life to make any necessary changes to facilitate healing. Proverbs 3:6-8 gives us a clue to this,
“6 In everything you do, put God first, and he will direct you and crown your efforts with success.
7-8 Don’t be conceited, sure of your own wisdom. Instead, trust and reverence the Lord, and turn your back on evil; when you do that, then you will be given renewed health and vitality.”
God’s word tells us that He will crown our efforts with success meaning that we do our part and God does what we can not do. In simpler terms, God adds the super to our natural to perform the supernatural.
I speak this word from the Lord over you as you read this, “I will heal you!”
God not only desires you to be healed, He takes pleasure in fulfilling that desire. Work with God and do what is your part and watch the hand of God do what we can not.
“I will heal you!”
