You Do It Unto Jesus

I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me. I say to you in as much as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it unto Me. (Matthew 25: 36,40)

We must be instant in season and out of season. We must be ready and willing to clothe the naked, to visit the sick, to go to the prisoner, to feed the hungry, to give drink to those who thirst. We need to be Jesus’ hands and feet in this world to touch those in muck and mire, the undesirable and the unwanted. It is not enough to say a little prayer of help for those who are in need. Our prayers are the faith portion of what we need to do but what good is faith without works? When we display our faith we must match our works to it as well or else our faith is dead.

If you know someone in need of help in any way, don’t just say that you’ll pray for them, do something for them. We have enough sayers and hearers,we need doers! God has empowered us with everything we need in this life to be a powerful force of love in the earth. What we need to do as believers is invade darkness with action as well as word. Love is the action part.

When Jesus died on the cross and was buried in the tomb, He was the seed that was placed in the ground so that many, many more of Him would be created. We are part of the seed of Jesus and we are His hands and feet in the earth. We are the outstretched arm of God that feeds the hungry, visits the sick, goes to the prisoner, clothes the naked and gives drink to those who are thirsty. We are the body of Christ!

Nothing you do for Christ goes unnoticed. Every offering, every tithe, every prayer, every encouragement, every gift you give out is seen by God and will be rewarded by Him. Remember when you do this unto the least of them, you do it unto Jesus!
