Behold, I will bring it health and healing; I will heal them and reveal to them the abundance of peace and truth. (Jeremiah 33:6)
In our walk with the Lord we come across times of not knowing why some things happen and why some do not. Healing and miracles often take place when we have an encounter with Jesus, but do you ever wonder why God just doesn’t heal us in entirety at once? I have learned that in the most difficult of times is when I see God’s power manifested most. Yes, I see His power in the many miracles He has performed, but it takes even greater strength to make it through the hardest times without seeing the promise fulfilled. Hebrews 11:13 tells us about this,”These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.”
God shows His love and might through us and to us as He walks us through circumstances that seem to be horrible in the moment. Trials and suffering cause us to depend on Him for everything, which is the true walk of faith. God’s Word tells us that Jesus Himself learned obedience through suffering.
In Judges 3:1-2 it says,”Now these are the nations which the Lord left to prove Israel by them, that is, all in Israel who had not previously experienced war in Canaan; It was only that the generations of the Israelites might know and be taught war, at least those who previously knew nothing of it.”
God will many times allow us to walk through hard times to teach us how to war against the enemy, all the while knowing we will succeed through Him! Remember that we have this promise that God is for us not against us and the greater One lives in us. We can truly do all things through Christ who strengthens us.
It is in the deepest darkness that our light shines brightest, it is in our deepest pain that comfort breaks forth. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5).
Be encouraged today and know that no matter what you are facing, God will use that very thing to bring you to higher levels in Him and a reward so great that only eternity can contain it. Through your circumstances, God will reveal to you abundance of peace and truth.
Be strong and courageous and watch the salvation of the Lord!
