But know that the Lord has set apart for Himself him who is godly. (Psalm 4:3)
God has given us everything that pertains to life and godliness. We are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation and a peculiar people. How exciting it is to be living in such a time as this. This is the time for the church to rise as nation rises against nation. This is the time for life to spring forth as thousands upon thousands of unborn babies are being murdered. This is the time to lift up your heads as the governments of this world scramble to figure out what to do next. This is the time to put on the whole armor of God in this evil day. This is the time to shine brightly as a city on a hill in the darkest of times. This is not a time to fear or be dismayed, this is a time to rejoice and to fight the good fight of faith. God is on our side and if God be for us, then who can be against us? The battle is the Lord’s but we are the soldiers He uses! Know this day that for just a time as this, you have been chosen and set apart by Himself.
The enemy has beefed up his attacks on God’s people recently more than ever before. With all that is happening we need to focus on Jesus all the more. Remember that Jesus said,”in this life you will go through many tribulations.” He also said,”through much tribulation will you enter into the kingdom of God.” We are not immune to trouble because we became a Christian. As a matter of fact it is just the opposite.
When we are advancing God’s kingdom, the enemy sees that and opposes what we are doing for the Lord. But be of good courage because you are not alone. The brethren around the world are suffering for Christ as well. When we walk through the gates of Heaven and see Jesus we will laugh and dance and forget all the pain and sorrow because of the unspeakable joy that is ours to inherit. That joy is also available for us now as well.
Be comforted and trust that you have been set apart for such a time as this and you are important in the grand scheme of eternity!
