Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own Blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. (Hebrews 9:12)
Coming from a religious background, I was constantly searching for what to do next to be right with God. Pray more, be a better person, help more people. All those things are good, but they do not make us right with God.Thank God that it is nothing that we can do that makes us right with God, but rather what Jesus did! It was His Blood that brought us into right standing with the Father. Our Father is a covenant God and the only covenant between us and God that could make us in right standing with Him was a blood covenant with perfect blood. The only One able to do that was sinless, spotless Jesus!
When God sees us, He sees His Son’s own Blood and we are able to come boldly to the throne of grace to obtain mercy in time of need. We no longer have to strive to reach a place where we could have never obtained on our own in the first place. We no longer need to fear dying or living without hope. Jesus did it all for us and through Him we have eternal redemption. There is no other way to the Father except through Jesus.
Once a person knows who they are in Christ and what Jesus has accomplished for them, they can begin the process of being set free. After Jesus is received in a persons heart, the Holy Spirit comes in to dwell. Jesus said that He was leaving this earth so that God’s very own Spirit would come to dwell in us.
The Law was given by God as a standard which to live by but not one except Jesus was perfect in the Law. He fulfilled the Law by abiding by it and in doing so He offered us grace which previously was not present. The Law showed every man of his need of a savior and it showed us all that no one was righteous. The Law was given to demonstrate to us the need for Jesus. God knew we did not have the ability without Him to keep His Law. The beautiful enablement that God has bestowed upon us to walk in obedience to His word is called grace. Grace picks us back up again when we fall and does not cast us out. The Law is still necessary to bring structure and guidance but grace is necessary to bring us into relationship with the Father through Jesus the Son. The Law could not bring us closer to God in fact it showed us our sin even more. Thank God for truth (law) and grace. Truth and grace combined is the answer to our lives, not just truth, not just grace, but truth and grace. John 1:17 says, ” the law came through Moses, but truth (law) and grace came through Jesus Christ.”
No other man gave us access to God but Jesus. All others who proclaim to be the way are liars. Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. He is the doorway and path to the Father. Thank you Jesus for redemption and peace of mind!
