Rejoice You Have Been Redeemed!

I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, your transgressions, and, as a cloud, your sins: return to Me for I have redeemed you. (Isaiah 44:22)

Whenever you are feeling down or not sure of your future, or if you feel as though you have nothing to be joyful about, then think again! Jesus has redeemed you. That is enough to carry you through eternity. Our trespasses, transgressions and sins are gone because of Jesus’ Blood. Coming from a past of sexual perversion, addictions and hedonism, I can testify that there is nothing impossible for God. Through the shed Blood of His Son Jesus, He has certainly washed away all of those sins. God’s Word comforts us with this,” If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Our part is to confess, which means to acknowledge our guilt or wrong doing, God’s part is He continually forgives because we are covered in the Blood!

Sins refer to all things that we do or have done unkowingly or knowingly to miss the mark. Transgressions are all things we have done that have violated God’s will and word, things that have crossed the line so to speak. Jesus has taken care of it all but it doesn’t stop there. We now have God’s Spirit living within us to help us overcome sin. His grace empowers us to live holy lives before Him, but that doesn’t mean we are perfect. Every Believer sins everyday whether in thought or deed. If we say we have no sin, we are liars, according to 1 John. The difference that makes us know we belong to God, is when we do sin, we feel deep regret and remorse which quickly causes us to repent. God’s love convicts us so that we don’t open any doors to Satan through an ongoing unrepentant sin. God’s grace is His indwelling power! We no longer need to be in bondage to lust or addictions. The God of the universe lives within His very own children.

Think about this as you walk out your day and be filled with joy and hope knowing that you have been redeemed!
