For he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. (Hebrews 11:6)
Before we even come to God we must believe that He exists. We need to know the great I Am. We need to know that God rewards those who not only seek Him, but seek Him with diligence. Persistence is imperative with God. Remember that the effective, fervent, heart felt prayer of a man in right standing with God through Jesus’ Blood, releases much power.
The meaning of diligence is careful and persistent work. We must work to seek Him. Our effort and work can not save us, Jesus is the One who saved us, however once we are saved we must work our salvation out (or through) with fear and trembling. Salvation is a gift that must be cherished and cared for. We show God that we care about what Jesus did for us by seeking His face, desiring His word and craving to know what God feels about every aspect of our lives. Salvation is not a one time event but rather an eternal walk with the Lord that grows deeper, wider and stronger each day.
Start to diligently seek the Lord and expect tremendous, supernatural blessings to fall on you. When I started to seek God diligently, my life turned around in an amazing way. I experienced healing, deliverance and freedom from years of torment. The level of freedom I received had to do with the level of diligence I demonstrated. Salvation is not by works lest any man should boast but we do have a part in our personal relationship with God. The more you put in and work at it, the more you get out of it! He rewards those who diligently seek Him!
