The chastisement for our peace was upon Him. (Isaiah 53:5)

So many don’t realize that Jesus was brutally punished in every way for our own peace. When Jesus took upon Himself the agony that was due us, He paid the price so that we would benefit from it. He received what we deserved so that we would receive what He deserved. He knew we needed peace and the only way to purchase it for us was through His precious blood! As the crown of thorns was thrust upon His head, peace was purchased for us. As the stripes were torn into His back, healing was made ours. When the nails were hammered into His hands, our hands became clean. When the spikes were forced into His feet, the pathway that we are to walk on became paved. When the sword pierced His side, blood and water flowed symbolizing that He had given birth to a new race of people, the family of God. When a woman gives birth, her water breaks and then she gives birth with much blood. We were birthed out of Jesus’ side with water and blood. We are the family of God that has His own DNA. An adopted race of warriors and life bringers. 

What a precious Savior we have. What an amazing God of compassion, love and concern for us all. Who else could have done this for us? No other person but Jesus could have done this for us, only Him!

Accept the peace that goes beyond all understanding from the Prince of Peace. No matter what you have done in your life, no matter how far you feel you have drifted, know this: God is for you, He has reached out His hand in forgiveness and He has paid the price for your salvation through His Son Jesus. There is no other religion on this earth where their god has come to earth to die for them in order that they may live. Our God humbled Himself and became man so that man would be able to see God! Thank You Jesus!
