You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. (Isaiah 26:3)
With all that is going on in the world today, it is our peace that is being challenged. Every time the devil brings thoughts that are contrary to God’s Word, take them captive because those thoughts are rising against the knowledge of God. No matter what you feel, even if they are facts, God’s truth over rides them. In order for your mind to be stayed on Him, you need to totally trust Him. Cast all your cares upon Him for He cares for you. When we know just how much God loves and wants the best for us, we can walk in unwavering trust in Him. Just as in any relationship it takes time and effort to develop. The wonderful thing about a relationship with Jesus is that He will never fail us, He will never leave us, He will never cheat on us, He will never cause us pain. He is love itself.
He knows because of our past pains and hurts that we hesitate to trust. He understands us better than we do. I can say that coming out of a past of being abused that He gave me much more time for my relationship to develop with Him because of my wounds and inability to trust people. The foundation of my relationship with the Lord is so deep that now building on it is safe and lasting. God sees us where we are at and He deals with all of us the way He sees would benefit us most. Some with wooing, some with discipline, others with circumstances. Do not despise the manner of growing that has been administered to your life. It was designed specifically for you because of His great love. This is why we can not judge others and what they are going through because we have no idea how God is dealing with people in their own lives. No one haas walked in any other persons shoes and we don’t know what people have been through in their lives. Everyone has a story attached to their lives.
Trust in the Lord, keep your mind on Him and He will keep you in perfect peace!
