Abiding In Satisfaction

The fear of the Lord leads to life, and he who has it will abide in satisfaction. He will not be visited with evil. (Proverbs 19:23)

When we fear the Lord, we follow His word. Jesus said,” if you love Me, you”ll obey Me.” When we obey God, it is also a result of reverence. If we have reverence towards God, we will live life in satisfaction we will be satisfied with length of days. When we obey and revere God, evil will not visit us.

He loves us so much, that it is impossible for Him to love us any more than He already does. When we follow after God’s ways and stay pure before Him, the door to the enemy in our lives is closed. Remember when Jesus was speaking of Satan, He said,”the god of this world is coming, but he has nothing in Me!” Satan had no part of Jesus because Jesus was sinless. There was no opening for the enemy to abide in Jesus. This is why we must keep ourselves as far away from sin as we can through the power of the Holy Spirit. Clearly God’s word tells us to make no place for the enemy. We do not want the enemy in our lives! When the devil gets a foothold in our soul, he digs and digs until it becomes a stronghold. A foothold is much easier to rid of than a stronghold. Let us remove the sin out of our lives while it is a foothold! Hebrews 12:1 says,”Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.”

Run the race my brothers and sisters and fear God in reverence and abide in satisfaction!
