And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.(Matt.16:19) Or again, how can anyone enter a strong man’s house and carry off his possessions unless he first binds up the strong man? (Matt 12:29)
There are keys to the Kingdom of Heaven, which means that the Kingdom of Heaven needs to be unlocked. One of those keys to unlock the Kingdom is the power and authority we have been given to bind or tie up and to loosen or release. In the spirit realm I have literally had encounters where I would be in an intense fight with the demonic and I would bind up the spirit that was causing harassment. I would speak out loud,” I bind you up in the name of Jesus, you spirit of fear!” As soon as I would speak that with authority, the demon would scream out and say how it hated being bound and how it hated my authority in Jesus.
When we bind up the strong man that is trying to torment us by name and we are walking in holiness with our God and using the name of Jesus, whatever demon is attacking must submit to the power and authority of Jesus that is in us. No demon can withstand God almighty. Know that demons are not all powerful beings, they are disembodied spirits that seek homes for themselves. One of the ways they inhabit people is through the entrance point of sin. Sin is an open door to the devil in one’s life.
Whatever you are facing today, whatever you need freedom from, ask the Holy Spirit what it is particularly that needs to be addressed and call it out by name, bind it up and tell it to leave in the name of Jesus. Loosen the spirits of power, love and a sound mind upon yourself as the scriptures say.
God desires the best for you. Nothing can compare to what God has for us. Start practicing spiritual warfare in your life and home and you will be amazed at the difference in your life and your walk with God. Learn the keys of binding and loosening that Jesus Himself has given us.
