I will bless the Lord who has given me counsel. My heart also instructs me in the night seasons. (Psalms 16:7)
We need to allow our heart to be instructed by God through meditating on His Word day and night. When our heart is filled with God’s Word it will instruct and guide us. If our heart is filled with evil, then evil will instruct us. Pay attention to what you look at, what you listen to, what you smell, what you taste and what you touch, especially before going to sleep at night. The devil works in the soul realm which is our mind, will and emotions.
When we feed our soul carnal sensuality in any form, we make a full course dinner for Satan to dine. Starve Satan and feed your spirit with God’s Word. When Jesus said that the god of this world is coming, but he has nothing in Me, He meant that Satan was about to arrive, but there was nothing in Jesus for the enemy to attach himself to. The soul of Jesus was pure and holy, there was no sin in his life. The enemy’s arrows or fiery darts could be compared to heat seeking missiles. What he fires, seeks open doors in our lives. Keep the doors shut to the enemy so that his attacks fall off of us like water off a duck’s back. God is on our side, but there are choices we must make to be in agreement with God.
Sin is food for Satan. We are free to make choices, but we are not free from the consequences. Listen to God, obey Him and starve the enemy!
