Purity

Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, “The two will become one flesh.”But whoever is united with the Lord is one with Him in spirit. Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body. (1 Corinthians 6:16-18)

 
Once we place ourselves under the Lordship of Jesus Christ and receive His forgiveness and repent, we are saved. Salvation then needs to be worked out with fear and trembling. A person will recognize after their first experience with Jesus that the Holy Spirit will start convicting us of certain sins in order to confess them. He does this because as we confess our sins, we are cleansed from all unrighteousness which is the demonic realm. When we are cleansed, we are freed from the enemy’s hold on our lives that he had through our sins. After saints confess and renounce and follow God’s Word, it brings healing and a stronger relationship with Jesus.

If I can give a helping word to anyone, it is to stay away from sexual sin. Flee from immorality! It will cause grief and heartache even though we can receive forgiveness through the shed blood of Jesus. There is much inner healing that is needed because of broken, fragmented, torn souls due to sexual unions not ordained by God. God’s heart wants our souls to be whole, not divided into broken pieces and scattered out to multiple people. God is in the healing business, but why get to the point where we need so much healing that it takes up precious time that we could be doing the Father’s will? He so cares for you and wants what is best. Cherish purity.

God’s moral code was never abolished. It is in place to protect us from pain, sickness, disease and death. There are so many preaching that obedience to God’s law is “works” when in fact it is love in action. Jesus even said,”if you love Me, you will obey Me and keep My commands.”Jesus’ commands were to love God and love people. If we follow those we are keeping all ten because all ten are within the two. We obey out of love not law. No matter what preacher, person or friend tells you that repentance and holiness is not necessary is guiding you down a path of destruction. Humble yourself, flee from all sexual sin and repent from it. I have been blessed, healed and put back together since I have walked in obedience to God. The choice is ours. Choose life. Choose purity.
