For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. (1Thess. 5:2)
Jesus always tells us not to fear. The day of the Lord is not to be feared by believers but embraced. This scripture makes us understand the sudden unexpectedness of Jesus’ return, but for us who are waiting for Him, it will be a day of rejoicing!
When we look all around and see the world falling apart, we should not hide ourselves in disbelief but rather pray for God’s guidance and protection. He is always with us and will meet us at our needs. Pray for our leaders, our government, our brethren and for the peace of Jerusalem.
It is obvious that we are living in the last days. Right is now wrong, wrong is now right. Sin is in and to strive to be holy can put a Christian in jail. But we can count it all joy and rejoice evermore, in everything give thanks and pray without ceasing, for this is the will of God. He is coming back again on clouds of glory and the sky will be rolled back like a scroll and we will see Him face to face.
The very obstacles that you face today are going to fall away very soon. We are to put our eyes on those things that are eternal and let go of the temporal distractions that try to keep us bound. Eternity is what we have to look forward to, this world is quickly passing away with all of its problems and pains. Stand strong my brothers and sisters and do not grow faint hearted for your redemption draws nigh!
Salvation is the promise to those who endure to the end.
