Instead of your shame you shall have double honor, and instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double, everlasting joy shall be theirs. (Isa. 61:7)
When Jesus suffered and died on the cross, He took upon Himself all of our shame. No longer do we need to live in the shame of our past. We have been forgiven and washed in the blood of the Lamb. No matter what any of us have done in the past, we can be at total peace with God if we are living in obedience to Him. We can look at the example of Paul in the bible who was, before his encounter with Jesus, a murderer of Christians. When Paul’s life was transformed, he never looked back or carried the guilt of the past because he experienced and understood the forgiveness of God and His grace.
Take Him at His word. It is in the prison that Joseph was able to have a foundation built for his future as a mighty ruler to save a nation. The very prison you are in today is the school to build your foundation for your future greatness in God. He is giving you double honor for your shame. Rise up mighty warrior of God and receive double for your trouble in Jesus name!
