Redemption

But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him and by His stripes we are healed. (Isa.53:5)

I always asked myself, “does He mean me?” Could He have been wounded for my transgressions? Could He have been bruised for all my iniquities? Could He have taken my punishment that included dying, upon Himself? The answer is yes. He did it for you and I, but it doesn’t end there. He also took the stripes on His back for our healing! Don’t accept any sickness, disease or mental anguish. He took it all. So many people can accept that Jesus took there diseases but not their mental anguish. When the crown of thorns was placed upon His head, and the blood poured down His brow, every tormenting demon was put on notice because of what God was doing for His children. He bought deliverance as well! Only believe. All things are possible. What is impossible for man is possible with God. He has paid the price in total for us, all we need to do is surrender in total obedience to Him.

One of the main reasons why many do not see the healing and delivering power of Jesus in their lives come to fruition is because of sin. Even though sin was taken care of on Calvary, when we choose to live in it and not repent, we stop the flow of God’s blessings on our lives. Living in sin is a choice that we make and the payment for that is death. God tells us that the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is everlasting life through Jesus Christ. Repentance activates many blessings in our lives and obedience to His will and His ways closes the door to the devil so that he has no access to us. God has made the way, it is up to us to walk the path.

Choose life today and know that you and I have been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb!
