“But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring about, as it is this day, to save many people alive.” (Gen 50:20)
So many times in life, we ask God why? Why did so much evil happen to me? Why so much pain? We must come to the realization that what the devil meant for evil ,to destroy us, God turns it around for our good, because we love Him and are called according to His purpose.
As we go through life, what looks like a grave, miraculously turns into a portal to a new season of life in which only our Father could make. Start to thank God instead of questioning Him. He will never abandon us nor reject us, and our latter shall be greater than our former. He certainly knows the end from the beginning. We can not help others if we have not ourselves walked through the very same pain that others have. Jesus Himself is our high priest and He has felt all our infirmities and knows what it is like to be tempted. We are to be like Him, so why would we think that we are immune to pain and sorrow in this life? What we are promised is a crown of life and eternity with Him if we endure to the end.
When you get to know God’s heart, you can look back at all the things that were previously seen as horrors and say,”now I understand.” What was previously tragedy is now triumph, what was pain is now joy, what was defeat is now victory. God takes what seems to be our end only to make it our new beginning. Trust the mighty King we serve and know without a shadow of a doubt that He is working it all out for our good!
