His Promises

Not a word failed of any good thing which the Lord had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass. (Joshua 21:45)

So many times the promises of God look impossible or so far away. Remember, God is not like man that He should lie. What He said He will do, He will do! His Word will not return void. Abraham waited and trusted God. It wasn’t in Abraham’s timing that he received the promise but it was in God’s timing. On the other side of obedience are the blessings. We inherit the promises through faith and patience.

Trust the Lord, our Father knows best. God makes everything beautiful in its time! There are still many promises and prophecies that we are all waiting patiently on the Lord for, while we wait for them to come to fruition, let us serve God just the same. Remember those mentioned in the book of Hebrews of which God has included in the hall of faith. Our brethren Abraham and Sarah, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Rahab, Gideon and many others who some did not see their promise come to pass but believed God that what He said, would happen.

We can all rejoice that we are all in that same hall with our faith in Jesus Christ. We serve God out of love, not out of what He can do for us. In serving Him out of love, He bestowes upon us all that is His. His peace, His love, His joy, His faith, His hope and His promises. O what a God we serve. God will fulfill His promises. Do not lose heart and do not lose hope. Hold onto your promise by faith and patiently await what He said He will do!
