For You have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears and my feet from falling. I will walk before the Lord in the land of the living. (Psalm 116:8,9)
We must always rehearse what God has done in our lives for us to remember all the good He has accomplished. Truly He has delivered our souls from death. For years, my eyes wept bitterly and now I rejoice in the God of my salvation because of what He has done. The fear of death has been broken and with power we can believe the scripture that states,” Oh death where is your sting? Oh grave where is your victory? To live is Christ and to die is gain.” Jesus has removed all of the unbearable burdens for us and He has given us His yolk which is easy.
The land of the living has become a place of joy through Jesus rather than a torment beyond comprehension. God is our refuge and He is our strength, a very present help in trouble. This very moment, start to think of what God has done for you and praise Him for His goodness and mercy and love. He loves to hear His children’s praise from their hearts. We are called to be alive at this time and at this place for a purpose. One of the problems that the Israelites had was that they forgot all God had done for them. When we fail to remember God’s goodness, we lose hope to win the next battle. Be encouraged by looking at all God has already done. The good work He started in you, He is faithful to complete!
