O Lord my God, I cried out to You, and You healed me. O Lord You brought my soul up from the grave; You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit. (Psalm 30:2,3)
Jesus’ finished work on the cross has given us all access to the Father and granted us acceptance by the great One. We can now come boldly to the throne of grace to obtain mercy in time of need. In all that you may be facing today whether it be family problems, mental anguish, abuse, rejection, heartache, drug addiction, molestation, poverty, sickness, death or hopelessness, know that Jesus is willing and able to deliver you. He has delivered and healed me from all the above and much more and He is no respecter of persons.
He is a good God and His arm is not too short that He can’t reach. He is a friend to the lonely, a parent to the orphan, He is hope to the hopeless, He is life to the dying. He is Jesus, the Lover of our souls. Cry out to Him and He will heal you. He will bring your soul up from the grave and keep you alive so that you will not go down to the pit.
What can be learned through the school of heartache is that we experience God the greatest when we are at the very bottom of ourself. When we know there is no more left of us is when we see the greatness of God the greatest. We tend to get in the way of what God wants to do in our lives and it is at the point of death to our flesh that Jesus shows Himself the strongest. Crucify your flesh and see that when you are weak, He is truly made strong. It all boils down to obedience. Obeying God ushers in His blessings and keeps us on the straight and narrow. How we stay in obedience to God is through the empowering of His Spirit that dwells inside of those who have been filled by Him. Keep in mind we are on the road of progression that ends at perfection. We are not perfect yet but will be when we see Him face to face. He is our hope!
